Natural Seawater (NSW) is a unique mixture of inorganic ions. Of these, 11 are present at a concentration of 1 part per million (ppm) or more, and are said to be the major ions. They are sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, chloride, sulfate, bicarbonate, bromide, borate, and fluoride. Sodium, chloride, potassium, sulfate, bromide, borate and fluoride are always present in the same ratios, and are said to be conserved ions. In order for a synthetic seawater mix to support a wide array of marine organisms, it must provide a full spectrum of dissolved ions in ratios that closely approximate those found in NSW. In particular, ions known to be biologically significant, such as calcium, must be present in correct amounts, while those ions are known to be detrimental to closed aquarium systems, such as phosphate, must be absent or in very low concentration.

• Ideal mix for reef or fish-only aquariums
• Contains all major, minor, and trace elements
• Natural buffering action assures correct pH
• Dissolves rapidly
• Extra calcium and magnesium
• Extra trace elements support

AquaLife ONE SEA creates the perfect environment for delicate marine life, as well as supporting enhanced biological filtration. We also add extra calcium and magnesium to benefit corals and other invertebrates. Tests show that ONE SEA achieves the correct salinity, pH, calcium concentration and magnesium concentration when rehydrated as directed.
AquaLife ONE SEA was developed in consultation with researchers and marine aquaculture experts who demand only the purest, most consistent, and carefully formulated synthetic seawater mix. We also consulted expert microbiologists to identify the needs of delicate nitrifying bacteria. The result is a complete synthetic seawater mix suitable for all aquariums. No need to purchase a special reef- grade salt mix. AquaLife ONE SEA is the best formula available for ALL marine tanks.

DIRECTIONS: For best results, rehydrate with distilled or reverse osmosis water. If using tap water, add the recommended amount of AquaLife COMPLETE water conditioner before mixing with salt. Aerate or stir the solution vigorously to dissolve completely. Water temperature and amount of agitation will determine the rate at which the product dissolves. Although the solution may be added to the aquarium as soon as all solids are dissolved, we recommend waiting at least 12 hours before use, to allow complete stabilization of alkalinity and pH and for optimum clarity. Rehydrate to a salinity of 34-36 ppt, equivalent to a specific gravity reading of 1.020 - 1.023 at 75F. (Use an accurate hydrometer or refractometer to determine specific gravity or salinity. If using a hydrometer, consult a salinity table for correct specific gravity at different temperatures.) NOTE: Depending upon phosphate levels in the source water, a white precipitate may form, due to the reaction of the phosphate with calcium and magnesium in the salt mix. This precipitate is harmless and will settle out if the mixture is allowed to sit overnight. Salinity, pH, calcium, and magnesium levels in the clear liquid will be correct. The use of low-phosphate purified water (such as reverse osmosis) will significantly reduce precipitate formation.

Unique Product Features:
•Complete synthetic seawater mix containing all major, minor and trace elements in their natural proportions, with extra calcium and magnesium to meet the demands of delicate reef organisms
•Increased levels of trace elements known to be required by nitrifying bacteria
•Eliminates the need for two salt mixes, one for fish-only and one for reef aquariums
•Formulation designed to produce enhanced results over natural seawater

Packaging: 59 lb. carton makes 200 gallons

Product Rationale In the closed system marine aquarium, enhanced levels of certain elements are desirable to stimulate and improve the growth of marine organisms. AquaLife ONE SEA's unique formulation is actually an improvement over natural seawater as a medium for aquarium culture of all types of marine organisms. Careful selection of raw materials results in a product free from unwanted phosphate, nitrate, and ammonium. The result is a mix that gives you more biological bang for your bucks, with nothing you don't want or need included.

PRECAUTIONS: Do not mix dry salt in systems with livestock present. Keep out of reach of children. Product not intended for human consumption. It generates slight heat when added to water; do not handle with wet hands. Contact with dry product may cause skin and/or eye irritation. In case of eye contact, flush eyes with cool water and seek immediate medical attention.
